Interagency Coordinating Council for the Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Recognizing the negative consequences of adolescent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases to Oklahoma’s youth, the 1994 Oklahoma Legislature established the Interagency Coordinating Council for Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (ICC).  The purpose of the ICC is to provide for a coordinated, multidisciplinary and interagency effort to reduce the rate of adolescent pregnancy and STDs among Oklahoma’s youth.

Oklahoma Statute 63:1-235-238 specifies 30 ICC member categories that comprise the ICC and appointments are made through designated agencies or through the Governor’s Office.  The ICC receives no funding.

ICC meetings, which are open to the public, are held at Langston University, 4205 N. Lincoln Boulevard, Oklahoma City, at 12:30 p.m. on the following dates in 2009:  February 5, April 2, June 4, August 6, October 1, and December 3.
